I may look familiar to you. If you have seen me in action,
you already know that what you see is what you get with me. I am Direct, Aggressive,
Determined, Persistent and fully intend to prevail over the State and all of its paraphernalia, quasi-scientific bluff and
supposition, badges of office and self-riteousness. What the Prosecutors tend to forget is a) there are two sides to
every story and b) their witnesses are flawed, mortal human beings - just as apt to misinterpret, misunderstand, and
to project their own beliefs and predispositions into their testimony as anyone else who will come before the jury. REMEMBER: A. If you have a traffic stop 1. DON'T
SAY ANYTHING!!! more than is asked of you, and keep that as short and sweet as possible 2. DON'T LOOK AT THEM. Look straight ahead out of the windscreen.
Just hand your documents over to him/er without turning your head towards them. 3. NEVER criticise their performance, mental faculties, heritage, or value. 4. NEVER give any answer at all to the question: "Is there a reason
WHY YOU WERE SPEEDING?", EXCEPT: "I wasn't." Anything you say . . . except:
" I wasn't" . . . is admitting speeding and saying why you were doing it. You can
say "I wasn't" and still be safe. They will take down anything else
you say and try to use it against you in Court. 5. As soon as the lights on the Patrol Car are turned back off, and you are free to leave, your
destination just became our office. Waiting until the last possible
moment ties our hands, puts us on the defensive, and will cost you more money. We have a $50.00
late fee if you bring us a citation within 2 business days of the appearance date. B. They are stopping you and there is more at stake than
a mere citation. 1. DON'T SAY ANYTHING to
the Police when they stop and question you, except your name and address and, (see below) "I want to
speak to my attorney", as soon as you no longer feel free to leave the officer's presence. Keep saying
you want your attorney. 2. NEVER GRANT PERMISSION
to search (you never know who left what in your vehicle) 3. NEVER
ADMIT WRONG DOING, or APOLOGIZE, and 4. DON'T
BLOW!! if you are stopped and have had ANYTHING to drink. We recommend not doing the field sobriety tests
as well. Keep your mouth shut. Don't admit having anything to drink. "Anything you say can and will
be used against you in a court of law." They aren't joking when they say that. 6. Ask for your attorney (us!) and keep asking until we arrive. 7. DON'T SAY ANYTHING!!!! I know a lot of people who have talked
themselves into criminal charges, but almost none who have talked themselves out of them.
